這首The Script的第二波主打當然也是要來翻囉，首先先來解釋一下Six degrees of separation的意思。
Q:Six degrees of separation是甚麼意思？
A:Six degrees of separation是指「六度分隔理論」，亦稱「小世界現象」，常有人說世界是很小的，這是經過一連串的實驗，證明出平均只需六個人就可以將不認識的兩個人連接在一起(限於美國)，當然如果要計算將世界上所有的人聯繫在一起還有爭議，此實驗並不是注重於每個人需要六個層次來與他人相見，而是表達兩個從不相識的人，通過一定的方式，即能聯繫到對方。(此事在個人期望以及機遇等變數下有所不同)
這首歌雖然是像是在告訴別人，但其實寫的是主唱Danny的故事，其實這個六度分隔理論原本是個好的比喻(你的真愛就在不遠處!隨時都可能遇見)，但在此是非常難過的，他指的是與前女友經歷的六個階段的separation(分離)，在此段時間中Danny痛徹心扉以及所以情感的變化，我在聽時以及翻譯時皆有一種非常痛心的感覺，這首歌偷偷地唱到所有人的心裡，搭配主唱的滄桑的聲音，更加渲染了情緒。

如果你不清楚副歌中六個階段的意思的話，我想這裏解釋:
First : 她離開了他，打碎了他的心
Second : 感受到所有的事實侵襲而來，孤單又寂寞，而且窩在家裡，想著一切胡思亂想。
The third : 已經受不了這樣該死的感覺了，他必須要選擇該move on 還是要繼續等待著他的女孩
The fourth : 他選擇了move on，所以他必須要好好地整理自己的情緒
The fifth : 就在他決定要向前時，命運總是再度打擊他，讓他看見舊情人和別人走在一起
The sixth : 最後，他只能夠承認，沒有所謂的move on或是能夠忘掉她，他的心早就已經fucked up了。
